The GSN executive replaces Jeff Olde, who exited the NBCUniversal-owned cable network last week.

A week after head of programming Jeff Olde stepped down from his post, E! has found his replacement.

GSN’s Amy Introcaso-Davis has been tapped to serve as exec vp development and production at the NBCUniversal-owned cable network. She replaces Olde, who had served as head of programming since March 2013.

In her new role, Introcaso-Davis will begin Sept. 25 and lead unscripted development and production. She will report to Adam Stotsky, who was promoted to E! Entertainment president a year and a half ago.

“Amy brings extensive experience and a track record of success creating hit shows that appeal to women, as well as a deep understanding of today’s pop culture landscape,” Stotsky said.  “I look forward to partnering with Amy as she leads our talented development and production team, and we continue to innovate and expand our slate of hit unscripted franchises that are rooted in pop culture and celebrity lifestyles.”

Introcaso-Davis most recently was exec vp programming and development at GSN, the joint-venture between Sony Pictures Television and AT&T. In her six-year tenure there, she developed Skin Wars, The American Bible Challenge and The Chase.

The E! appointment brings Introcaso-Davis back into the NBCU fold after she served as senior vp development and production at Bravo and senior vp original programming and development at Oxygen. During her time with NBCU Cable Entertainment, she developed series including Bravo’s Real Housewives, Queer Eye for the Straight Guy and Flipping Out as well as Oxygen’s The Glee Project and Tori and Dean: Home Sweet Hollywood, among others.

“It’s thrilling to return home to NBCUniversal Cable Entertainment in a role that is so closely aligned with my true passion for pop culture,” she said. “I am so excited to be working with Adam and team on a brand that I have long admired and consumed and am eager to join them in identifying and producing distinctive content that feeds our entertainment obsessions.”

Before joining Bravo, Introcaso-Davis was vp series at Lifetime and worked in primetime development and casting at Fox.

Introcaso-Davis’ arrival comes after Stotsky was charged with oversight of both E! and Esquire Network, the latter of which shifted to a digital platform as niche cable networks feel the squeeze amid the competitive Peak TV era.
