Los Angeles DJ/producer William Benjamin Bensussen, aka Gaslamp Killer, has fired back with lawsuits targeting the two women who alleged he drugged and raped them at a party in 2013.

A woman named Chelsea Elaynne recently accused the artist of drugging and sexually assaulting her and a friend, sharing a detailed account of her allegations via social media. Record label Brainfeeder and the L.A. event collective Low End Theory distanced themselves from Bensussen and several festival organizers subsequently dropped the artist, who denied the claims and asserted that he had consensual sexual encounters with the women.

Now, Bensussen has launched a multi-million dollar defamation lawsuit again the two women and one of their boyfriends, who shared the story.

According to the document, filed in The Los Angeles Superior Court, Bensussen’s reps say the accusations are “malicious and fabricated” and the defendants’ claims were “self-contradictory and inherently illogical.” Furthermore, Bensussen says he has obtained statements from multiple witnesses who can verify his side of the story and he’s suing for at least $5 million in damages, according to Pitchfork.
