And Manchester City have apparently apologised for playing Madness’ One Step Beyond, the song that can be heard at Stamford Bridge whenever the Blues beat a significant team. The Mail report that City officials ordered the Madness song be cut short and were quick to say sorry to the visitors for what could be interpreted as an act of gloating, but the person in charge of the PA system is now a hero to many supporters. The win moved City back to the top of the Premier League on goal difference and after the match Maurizio Sarri couldn’t bring himself to shake hands with opposite number Pep Guardiola. Sarri, though, did apologise to Chelsea’s fans. “I am doing my best and I’m trying to get the players to do their best but at the moment I can only say sorry because in the last three away matches we played very badly,” he said. Apologies are too late the damage has been done. I’m no @ChelseaFC fan but that was poor. Once again showing your lack of class. — Matt Tonks (@Tonksy15) February 10, 2019 Source link
