Eddie Hearn has told talkSPORT that his Fight Camp events in the Matchroom HQ back garden could continue into September.

The promoter enjoyed a successful first week with Ted Cheeseman vs Sam Eggington last Saturday and is following up with Terri Harper vs Natasha Jonas tonight.

The schedule has two more shows set for this month, culminating in Dillian Whyte vs Alexander Povetkin on August 22.

Hearn was previously planning to return to arenas in September with a test event in front of a limited crowd.

However, these ideas have been put on hold as the UK government reversed their decision to allow such events to take place due to a rise in COVID-19 cases.

When asked what will happen in September, Hearn told talkSPORT’s James Savundra: “We’ve got some outrageous plans.

“I’m just not prepared to go to a studio, to an empty York Hall. We are thinking about maybe extending Fight Camp, talks are ongoing.

“Whether that’s here or whether that’s at another venue as well.

“It’s been a huge success, but we’ve done one week. Tonight is number two.

“We have two more to go and if we keep going the way we’re going, if the interest in Fight Camp keeps rolling, then there is a chance you might see us extend here into September.”
