Fans dig out hilarious old Philippe Coutinho tweet after Bayern Munich humiliate Barcelona 8-2 in Champions League

Philippe Coutinho sent a rather funny tweet back in 2011 – which some are saying foreshadowed Bayern Munich’s 8-2 win over Barcelona on Friday night.

The German champions humiliated Barca in their Champions League quarter-final, tearing them apart with four goals in each half.

Bayern loanee Coutinho came on late in the game to face his parent club, and struck twice in the final ten minutes to add further insult to Barca’s injury.

Following the final whistle, fans dug out the above tweet.

It reads: “Hi. Today we had a game against the junior team. I scored two goals. Now at home watching a movie. Bye.”

The uncanny post was sent on September 3, 2011.

At this time, Coutinho was still developing as a 19-year-old at Inter Milan.

Even at this young age, though, the Brazilian’s talent had been recognised and he was a regular in the first XI.
