Former UFC heavyweight champion Andrei Arlovski uses FLAMETHROWER to 'keep social distancing' during coronavirus pandemic

Former UFC heavyweight champion Andrei Arlovski took a novel approach to dealing with coronavirus by using a flamethrower in the street.

The 41-year-old, who won his fight against Philipe Lins last week in a behind closed doors UFC event, posted pictures and videos of himself using the dangerous device.

He even joked it was a great way to enforce social distancing.

The Belarusian wrote: “I am ready to burn #covid19.”

He also added: “I know what I’m going to ask #mybeautifulwife @milana_arlovskaya to buy me for her birthday )))) BTW it’s a great device to keep #socialdistancing.”

Arlovski has 50 MMA fights under his belt and was the UFC’s heavyweight champion back in 2005.

The veteran suffered a five fight losing streak between 2016 and 2017 where he was beaten by the likes of Stipe Miocic, Alistair Overeem and Francis Ngannou.

Last week, he beat Philipe Lins at the UFC’s Fight Night event in Florida during the coronavirus pandemic.

He also challenged Mike Tyson to a fight but set out some bizarre conditions for that to happen.

“Tyson is a legend,” he told sports.ru. “His poster hung in my room.

“I’m not ready for a full fight by the rules of boxing against him. If one round is boxing and one round is MMA, then it is possible.”
