In tonight’s top story: Led by Yevgeny Prigozhin, Russia’s private Wagner mercenary group halted its insurrection on the city of Rostov-on-Don Saturday evening, just one day after the takeover of Russia's military headquarters began. Prigozhin agreed to step down his rebellion and has since been exiled to Belarus. Redmond Shannon has the latest.

Following up, Heather Yourex-West provides the latest on Ukraine’s response to the short-lived revolt and how it may impact the ongoing Russia-Ukraine war. The international community, for now, however, is treading carefully in its response to the brazen challenge of Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Plus, a Global News exclusive. Despite their importance to the Canadian Embassy, an expected delivery of dozens of armoured vehicles was delayed after a subcontractor in Jordan refused to release them.
