James Rodriguez shows why he has 'most feared left foot in Europe'

If only the Everton fans could’ve seen James Rodriguez’s first goal for the club – it was a special one.

Making his first appearance at Goodison Park, the former Bayern Munich and Real Madrid star made his case as the bargain signing of the summer with a stunning strike.

James showed his class

Following Grady Diangana’s opener for West Brom, Dominic Calvert-Lewin equalised before James did what he does best.

The Colombian, famous for that stunning left-footed volley at the 2014 World Cup, showed why his left peg is worth the transfer fee alone.

He shifted the ball onto his left foot and accurately drilled one through a narrow gap and into the side netting to put the Toffees in front.

It was a dramatic few minutes for James, who was then shoved in the face by Kieran Gibbs, who saw red, before Baggies boss Slaven Bilic was also sent off for his protests over the incident.

But despite having ten men and no manager on the touchline, Matheus Pereira found an equaliser for the visitors with the third stunning left-footed strike of the match – and it was the pick of the bunch.

The Brazilian, who was involved in 24 goals last season, curled an incredible free-kick into the top corner from 30 yards.

At half-time, Joe Cole said James has ‘the most feared left foot in Europe’. Maybe Pereira gives him a run for his money.
