Joe Joyce is at his peak and ready for Anthony Joshua or Tyson Fury challenge and it has been hinted a world title shot at Arsenal’s Emirates Stadium is in the pipeline

Joe Joyce insists he’s more than ready for an all-British showdown with Anthony Joshua next.

The Juggernaut is the WBO’s new mandatory challenger to the winner of Joshua’s showdown with Oleksandr Usyk.

Joshua and Joyce are former sparring partners

And Joyce, who set for his first outing since scoring an impressive victory over fellow Brit Daniel Dubois last November, is confident of his chances coming up against AJ and co.

“I’m in a great position as mandatory to the WBO, so a potential fight with Anthony Joshua or Oleksandr Usyk is the place I want to be,” Joyce said.

“I’m confident now to go in with Joshua. I’ve sparred with all these top guys – it’s no joke.

“They’re in that position for a reason and I’m at that level now. I’m ready for anyone. I just need to get past Takam.”

Joyce believes footwork may prove to be a key factor in his upcoming bout with veteran Takam, just like it did against Dubois.

“You see how I was using my footwork to get out of Dubois’ range and make it awkward for him to land a punch,” Joyce explained.

“I might have to use a bit of that against Takam because he’s going to be coming forward against me.

“He’s got a bit more head movement than Dubois and he’s a little bit shorter so it’s going to be a bit trickier to land a jab at such frequency.”
