Manchester United will 'do anything' to get Jadon Sancho

Manchester United have used detailed analysis from experts within their scouting system to devise a priority-based transfer target list for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer this summer.

The Norwegian has enjoyed terrific success in the the two windows he has overseen at the club, bringing club captain Harry Maguire and talisman Bruno Fernandes to Old Trafford in the past year.

Manchester United are still desperate to bring Jadon Sancho to Old Trafford

However, with bitter rivals Liverpool and Manchester City creating an ever-widening chasm at the top, Solskjaer knows he will have to boost the squad and has used the lockdown period to analyse players in far greater detail than he could have possibly hoped.

According to The Independent, United have established a top-tier category of signings which they believe can propel the club back to the glory days almost a decade ago.

Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho is firmly at the top of that list, with the report claiming United will ‘do anything’ in order to bring the England international back to Manchester.

Aston Villa captain Jack Grealish is also still wanted by the Red Devils, with Napoli’s Kalidou Koulibaly, Red Bull Leipzig’s Dayot Upamecano and Swansea City’s Joe Rodon also in the top tier.

If Sancho’s value still exceeds £100million once the coronavirus crisis subsides, Rodon is seen as a cheaper alternative which would allow United to operate more expansively elsewhere.

Grealish’s value is expected to plummet if Villa are relegated to the Championship, while West Ham’s Declan Rice and Wolves striker Raul Jimenez further down the chain.

The chain of demand can vary massively’ Fernandes was deemed a low priority target 12 months ago before United pulled the trigger on a £67m deal in the January window.
