Les Parisiens’ record signing was given his marching orders by VAR for punching Gonzalez in the back of the head but Neymar has accused the Spaniard of racially abusing him.

Neymar took the matter into his own hands though, claiming on Twitter than Gonzalez is ‘not a man’, a ‘racist’ and claims he didn’t respect his opponent.

He issued a further statement on his Instagram story that explained he ‘revolted’ and ‘could not leave without doing something’.

Marseille put out a statement on Monday denying Neymar’s claims about Gonzalez. The 30-year-old has since received death threats.

The statement read: “Alvaro Gonzalez is not racist, he demonstrated it to us by his daily behaviour since joining the club, and his team-mates have already testified.”

It’s also understood PSG star Angel Di Maria is also set to appear in front of the LFP disciplinary committee following claims that he spat in the direct of Gonzalez.
