No Everton return for David Moyes as he Scot signs new West Ham contract after leading Hammers into Europe

David Moyes has signed a new three-year deal as West Ham manager, with talkSPORT sources expecting the club to make an official announcement next week.

The move puts an end to the speculation linking the Scot with a return to Everton, who are on the hunt for a new boss following Carlo Ancelotti’s return to Real Madrid.

Moyes has done a brilliant job in his second spell at West Ham

Moyes was reappointed West Ham boss in December 2019 and has helped transform the Hammers from relegation contenders to Europe.

He guided the club to the second-best Premier League finish in their history this season, as the London side finished sixth in the table and qualified for for the Europa League.

Regular talkSPORT pundit and West Ham’s first-team coach Stuart Pearce revealed on Wednesday that Moyes had agreed a deal to remain at the London Stadium in principle.

He told talkSPORT: “For all intents and purposes he has agreed and the club have agreed to extend his contract as such.”

Now an agreement has been finalised, which will tie Moyes to West Ham until 2024.

Pearce will also extend his stay at the club, having been offered fresh terms.
