Protests and counter-protests have been held across Canada over sexual orientation and gender identity (SOGI) policies in schools, and the rights of queer and trans children.

Dawna Friesen looks at how Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and British Columbia Premier David Eby reacted to the duelling demonstrations, while David Baxter explains what happened on Parliament Hill, the site of one of Canada's biggest protests.
