Now that the Wagner Group’s leader has been banished to Belarus, following a failed mutiny on Russia’s military headquarters, President Vladimir Putin has threatened his troops to either join Russia’s army, or Yevgeny Prigozhin in exile.

Weakened by last week’s short-lived Rostov-on-Don insurrection, Putin addressed the nation from the steps of the Kremlin on Tuesday, in an attempt to project strength.

Though he cut a deal with Putin to take in Prigozhin, Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko addressed the nation from Minsk criticizing the Russian leader for his response to the rebellion.

“If Russia falls, we will be buried under the wreckage,” Lukashenko said, addressing the ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine.
