Ryan Sessegnon linked with loan move to Ajax as Dutch giants seek to replace Chelsea signing Ziyech

Ryan Sessegnon is wanted by Ajax with the Tottenham ace considered a replacement for Chelsea signing Hakim Ziyech.

According to the Telegraph, Sessegnon is rather in-demand this summer following his disappointing first season in north London.

Sessegnon may depart Spurs on a loan deal throughout the summer

Joining from Fulham last year, Sessegnon made only 12 appearances for Spurs, and failed to play once after the Premier League restart in June.

Nonetheless, the 20-year-old remains a top prospect and his talents are wanted by numerous clubs – including his former side Fulham, who will be playing Premier League football next season following their return to the top-flight.

But Ajax are also making moves to sign Sessegnon, who can play anywhere down the left flank but has shown most promise in attack.

The report claims Ajax are chasing the youngster as they seek to replace Hakim Ziyech, who has now officially joined Chelsea following their signing of the winger in February.

While Ziyech plays on the right and Sessegnon on the left, Erik ten Hag, the Ajax boss, considers him a suitable recruit to improve the Dutch club’s attack.

Ajax want Sessegnon on a loan deal, but Jose Mourinho has still not decided whether to keep him around next season or send him away from White Hart Lane to garner further first-team experience.
