Tyson Fury reportedly set to earn purse of more than £20million from Deontay Wilder rematch

EIGHT FIGURES

The ‘Gypsy King’ said he gave his £7million portion from the first fight to charity

Tyson Fury looks set to earn more than £20million for a second fight with Deontay Wilder, according to reports.

The heavyweights drew in a controversially scored thriller last December and are now understood to be deep in talks for a rematch.

Deontay Wilder vs Tyson Fury was declared a draw

It’s claimed by Mail Sport that – should Wilder and Fury square off again as planned – the Brit could stand to make upwards of £20m.

At this stage these figures are merely estimates as the total purses will depend on the amount of business the fight does – particularly in terms of ticket and pay-per-view sales.

The second fight would undoubtedly produce bigger business than the first after the dramatic conclusion between the pair in LA.

Tyson Fury outboxed Deontay Wilder for the majority of their bout but was put down in the ninth round before then seemingly being knocked cold in the twelfth.

In what was an iconic moment of recent boxing history, Fury remarkably got up from the brutal second knockdown and carried on fighting until the final bell.

The ‘Gypsy King’ reportedly made £7million first time around and claims he gave it all to charity.
