World Boxing Council officially orders heavyweight fight

MAKE IT HAPPEN

The WBC voted unanimously in favour to order an interim title in the heavyweight division under the WBC rules

Dillian Whyte has been ordered by the WBC to fight American heavyweight Dominic Breazeale.

The winner of this fight will be the mandatory to face the winner of the Deontay Wilder and Tyson Fury rematch.

Whyte was last in action in December – beating Dereck Chisroa with a brutal 11th-round knockout win

Whyte has built up his standing in the heavyweight division with triumphs over Lucas Browne, Joseph Parker and Dereck Chisora in 2018.

The British heavyweight and Breazeale have each only lost one fight in their professional career, both losing to Anthony Joshua.
