WWE news: Roman Reigns and Ronday Rousey bookies’ favourites to win 2020 Royal Rumbles

Andrade 'Cien' Almas ranked third favourite to win 2019 WWE Royal Rumble

With the Royal Rumble approaching just next month, the Road to WrestleMania is just over the horizon.
Whichever man and woman wins their respective Royal Rumbles gets a shot at the champion of their choice at WrestleMania 36 and speculation is already growing on the winners.

The madness of a WWE Royal Rumble

Brock Lesnar is the WWE champion and Bray Wyatt is the Universal champion. Many believe they will both hold their titles at least until they hit Tampa, Florida next April.

Adding fuel to any possible rumours, the bookmakers have released their odds for the Royal Rumble and it could make a lot of sense.

For the men’s Rumble, Roman Reigns is pencilled in as the favourite slightly ahead of CM Punk, a man who is purely a pundit on the profession for FOX at this point.

After that, Bray Wyatt, Cain Velasquez and Kevin Owens make up the leading pack. One has to wonder if Bray Wyatt can compete as a separate entity to The Fiend…
For the ladies, a returning Ronda Rousey is the clear favourite with Sky Bet and every other bookie.
She’s followed by fellow-Horsewoman Shayna Baszler, then Kairi Sane, Charlotte Flair, Sasha Banks and the recently rocketed Rhea Ripley. Apologies for the alliteration there.

Reigns winning and challenging The Fiend makes all the sense in the world. They’re on the same brand, they have history that will attract The Fiend and he’s perhaps the only viable babyface that could beat him. He also never lost the Universal title, he had to surrender it to battle his leukemia.

Then you have Ronda Rousey returning to set up a date with Becky Lynch. The finish to WrestleMania 35 felt a little off and fans are crying out for these two to settle the score in a singles match.

Could WrestleMania 36 give us that? It could certainly be a main event-worthy match.
