Thousands of writers in Hollywood have put on a show-stopping protest, threatening some of television's most watched programs. The Writers' Guild of America wants improved pay and conditions for its members, due to the economic pressures of the streaming era. Late-night talk shows, including Jimmy Kimmel and Stephen Colbert, are among the first casualties being forced to air reruns.
