Emergency crews are racing to stop dozens of wildfires in Western Canada, including a growing blaze approaching Fox Creek, Alta. — located roughly 300 kilometres northwest of Edmonton.

An evacuation order was issued to the town of around 2,000 people on May 11.

Marney Blunt reports from the community on high alert, while meteorologist Tiffany Lizée has the immediate and long-term outlook of wildfire season in Alberta and B.C.
