The federal government is proposing the use of ankle bracelets and curfews to monitor 83 people released from immigration detention last week, in emergency legislation rushed into Federal Parliament.
The federal government is rushing new legislation into parliament to impose the new visa conditions after more than 80 people were released from detention — some without a visa at all at first.
Some of the group are convicted criminals.
