Canadians who decided to get a variable rate mortgage over the past two years are feeling the pinch after the Bank of Canada raised its key interest rate 10 times in the past year and a half.

But with some analysts suggesting we could finally be at the peak of rate hikes, though one more may come in October, some are wondering if variable rates may come back in popularity.
