The World Police and Fire Games is underway in Winnipeg, but there's controversy over Hong Kong's participation at the event.

Canada suspended its extradition agreement with Hong Kong police in 2020, following reports of human rights violations relating to China’s crackdown on the pro-democracy movement.

As Mike Armstrong explains, critics say Hong Kong's police officers should never have been invited to the competition to begin with.
