Check out the 3 exercises we did at the start of our jump training for our elite soccer performance training. We start off with some posterior chain activation, getting your hamstrings, glutes, calves, and core ready to activate rapidly. I love this exercise to get athletes ready for the session, especially when we're about to hit jumping. Next, we have some nervous system training. It is so important to train your nervous system for reaction time, twitchiness, springiness, and coordination. This exercise is awesome. You have to drop into a split squat, with the same side in front as the ball that's dropped, and catching the tennis ball in the same side hand. This one is extremely reactive and gets the CNS primed for elite power production. The third exercise we show is a Crossbody Triple Flexion Swing. It's to get the hips loosened up for jumping, have the arms and legs work together, and engage the core. These are awesome exercises to get ready to hit an all time great jump session.
