Elvis Ali Hazarika is a former international swimmer from Assam who switched over to channel swimming recently. Hazarika competed for India in a number of international competitions, such as the Asia Pacific Championship and the SAF Games, where he took home multiple medals. In the course of his remarkable career, Elvis set 23 national records and also won 192 medals from different national level tournaments. In 2023 Elvis crossed the English Channel both ways in a relay swimming. The swimmer was awarded the prestigious Assam Saurav Award in 2024.
