Ukraine's president, Volodymyr Zelenskiy, welcomed a €50bn EU support package, after delays caused by objections from Hungary. Viktor Orbán finally agreed to the aid after a series of meetings with European leaders. Zelenskiy said the decision 'once again proves strong EU unity' adding that: 'This is a clear signal that Ukraine will withstand and that Europe will withstand'.
