An international conference of far-right politicians and their supporters resumed in Brussels on Wednesday after police broke it up. French far-right leader Eric Zemmour was due to give a speech but was turned away by police on Tuesday evening on the instructions of the local mayor, who said there were concerns about public safety. The Belgian Prime Minister criticized the order, which has since been overturned by a court. The National Conservative Conference has brought together politicians such as Hungarian Prime Minister Victor Orban and former British Home Secretary Suella Braverman as well as nationalists and fundamentalist Christians in the run-up to the European Parliament elections in June.
