Fujitsu's Europe director, Paul Patterson, has admitted that his company – which developed the Horizon IT system – has a 'moral obligation' to contribute to financial redress for victims. Pressed by Labour MP Liam Byrne on compensation for victims, Patterson said: 'I think there is a moral obligation for the company to contribute and I think the right place to determine that is when our responsibility is very clear.
