After days of heavy rain in Quebec, the province is now dealing with the dramatic consequences of severe flooding. Hundreds of people have been forced from their homes as local crews try to repair critical infrastructure. Meanwhile, two firefighters are missing after they were swept away by rising river waters during a rescue. Mike Armstrong reports.

Alberta’s election entered its first full day on Tuesday, with both Danielle Smith and Rachel Notley in battleground Calgary. Exclusive polling by Ipsos for Global News shows Smith’s United Conservative Party (UCP) has a slight edge over the NDP. But as Saif Kaiser explains, it is shaping up to be a very tight race.
