Director of operations for Air Maui Helicopter Tours, Richie Olsten, has told Sky News his team were "totally shocked" by what they saw and they "did not expect to see the extent of the destruction of Lahaina."

Mr Olsten added: "The whole Front Street of Lahaina, all the shops, the historical buildings, everything, has been burnt right to the ground."
