The Greater Toronto Area (GTA) and surrounding area are under a heat warning as Toronto recorded its hottest day of the summer so far.
The heat warning includes all of southern Ontario and southern Quebec and is part of a heat dome that extends into the north-central part of the United States.
The temperatures are unusual for this late in the season and while Toronto didn’t break its single-day record with a high of 34 degrees Celsius on Labour Day Monday, Tuesday could be a different story.
