The Israeli government designated two ‘safe routes’ but thousands are afraid to leave their homes after Israeli bombardment killed fleeing civilians. Doctors in hospitals in northern Gaza are refusing to evacuate and leave patients relying on life-saving medical equipment unable to be transported. Medical facilities in the south are overwhelmed as evacuations continue with fears electricity and fuel could be cut off and leave the heath system to ‘shut down’.
