Over the last decade Indonesia has become the largest refiner and miner of nickel in the world, and now the industry is on the brink of a second transformation to meet the demands of the rapidly growing electric vehicle battery industry. The ABC travelled to Sulawesi, to an industrial park spearheading this change to EV battery grade nickel.
