Iran executes three men linked to Mahsa Amini protests | DW News

Iran's judiciary has confirmed that it has executed three men it says were implicated in the shooting deaths of three members of its security forces.

Majid Kazemi, Saleh Mirhashemi and Saeed Yaghoubi were accused of using a gun during a protest last year in the central city of Isfahan. The protest was sparked by the death in custody of Jina Masha Amini, who had been arrested for an alleged breach of female dress code. Families and supporters had held nightly vigils outside the prison in which the men were being held. Amnesty International said the men's trial was flawed and used "torture-tainted confessions“.
