Israeli forces have entered the hospital complex, conducting what they called a 'precise and targeted operation against Hamas in a specified area' of the medical compound.

Israel said the military had launched the raid because Hamas has a command centre underneath the hospital and uses connected tunnels to hold hostages, an allegation denied by Hamas.
