Israelis unfazed after Tehran's attack, Iranians say retaliation proves nation's strength

The bustling streets and cafes of Tel Aviv on Sunday showed little signs of the tension that was felt in Israel when it was attacked by Iran with hundreds of missiles and drones in the early hours of the day. One student said that she felt it was "part of the reality" of living in Israel.

"Nothing scares me anymore after Oct. 7," said Giya Barack, a waitress living in Tel Aviv. "I think going back to normal is something that is really needed, also for my soul. I think that we need to be out there, like to show them — we're not scared," Barack added.

Meanwhile, newspaper headlines and a billboard in Iran's capital Tehran on Sunday highlighted the country's mass drone and missile strikes on Israel overnight. One man said he supported the strikes, saying the attacks showed Israel that Iran is strong and will retaliate if necessary.

"My opinion is that... to this extent they (Israel) realized who they are dealing with," a Tehran citizen said. "We are a peace-loving people. But if they want to target even a bit of this land, we will definitely retaliate."
