Two Israeli policemen were injured in a shooting by a Palestinian gunman on Thursday near Jerusalem's Old City, according to police reports.

The incident took place at a police station in East Jerusalem, where the police said they killed the attacker.

According to police, the attacker, who was identified as a resident of East Jerusalem, used a makeshift submachine gun in the shooting.
