NASA and SpaceX have launched a four-person crew to the International Space Station, in a reusable Dragon spacecraft atop a Falcon-9 rocket.
The astronauts from four different countries lifted off from Florida. They will shortly dock with the space station. One of their main tasks over their six-month stay is to determine whether micro-organisms can survive and reproduce in space. Engineers pushed the launch back from Friday to review the capsule's safety and life support systems.
Part of the mission's goal is to examine the range of health hazards astronauts face. It's hoped it can shed light on the hit their immune systems take, which has remained a mystery until now.
