The province of Ontario has agreed to a deal they say opens up $1.2 billion dollars in new operating supports for Toronto over the next three years. The province has agreed to upload responsibility for the Gardiner Expressway and the Don Valley Parkway highways, while the city is allowing the province to take over the entirety of the redevelopment of Ontario Place. Ontario Finance Minister Peter Bethlenfalvy discusses the impact of this 'historic' deal on Toronto's $1.5 billion deficit.
