The big cat is believed to have been on the loose since at least the early hours of today, when she was caught on camera by witnesses in the suburb of Kleinmachnow on Berlin's outskirts. Police have mounted a massive search operation to capture the animal. Local residents have been warned to be on their guard and keep their pets and children inside. Police say no zoos, circuses or animal shelters have reported a missing lioness.
