Russia's defense ministry says Moscow was attacked by three Ukrainian drones overnight. Authorities said two crashed into a building complex after being jammed electronically, while another was shot down on the city's outskirts. No one was injured. It's the latest in a series of drone attacks on Russian soil that the Kremlin has blamed on Ukraine. But Kyiv has yet to claim responsibility.
And Russian President Vladimir Putin has said Moscow does not reject talks with Ukraine. He was speaking as a summit with African states wrapped up in Saint Petersberg. Putin said a proposal put forward by African leaders, as well as a Chinese initiative, could be a basis for peace. But Putin also rejected some points of the African peace initiative, namely a cease-fire, which he said would be too difficult to implement.
Ukrainian President Zelenskyy had previously rejected the proposal, saying he wouldn't engage in talks as long as Russian troops were occupying Ukranian territory.
