Two weeks after claiming he had the support of shareholders, Qantas chair Richard Goyder has announced he will stand down, apologising again for the airline's mistakes. Defying pressure to resign immediately Mr Goyder announced he will retire in the next 12 months. One board member is resigning at the AGM next month, and two other directors will step down at the Qantas half-year results next February. Vas Kolesnikoff, head of ANZ research at Institutional Shareholder Services, says shareholders still have many questions for board directors - with bonuses now in the spotlight.
