At least eight people were wounded, including two young boys, on Saturday after several buildings were destroyed by a Russian missile attack on a residential area in Dnipro, Ukraine.

The head of Dnipro's civil defence coordination centre, Ihor Hetalo, said the “sly” attack came overnight and hospitalized four of the victims.

Russia unleashed its latest overnight air strikes on Ukraine Saturday, targeting at least five regions across the country.

Local governor Serhiy Lysak said Ukrainian air defences had destroyed nine missiles and three drones in the southeastern Dnipropetrovsk region but that four residential buildings were destroyed, and another 25 damaged in the attack.
