As the US lifts Covid-era immigration restrictions, thousands of migrants have gathered at its Mexican border.

Known as Title 42, the policy has blocked those fleeing political and economic crises from the right to claim asylum in the US since the start of the pandemic. It lifted at midnight on Thursday. 'It's going to be chaotic for a while,' said US president Joe Biden earlier this week.
