Toronto residents frustrated over lack of enforcement after vicious dog attack on child

Questions are being raised about why a dog deemed “dangerous,” with a history of violent attacks was without a muzzle and off leash in a public park—and whether the City of Toronto is doing enough to enforce the laws.

The child and their father were approaching the playground area when the dog bit and dragged the child to the ground. They suffered what police are calling serious, life-altering injuries.

On Sunday, a 38-year-old woman was arrested, and the dog was taken by Toronto Animal Services.
