Transport Secretary Mark Harper has insisted the party will continue delivering on its pledges and is focused on winning the general election.

He told Trevor Phillips the working assumption is that an election will be in the second half of the year but he would not comment on suggestions the party should move even more to the right to salvage its election chances.
