Former President Donald Trump opposed the Justice Department’s request for the U.S. Supreme Court to quickly consider whether Trump can be indicted for trying to overturn the 2020 election, asking the court Wednesday to slow-walk their consideration of the case after the DOJ argued justices should speedily take it up to keep Trump’s planned March 2024 trial on track.
