It's been a year (06.02.2023) since powerful twin-earthquakes struck southeastern Turkey and parts of Syria, causing unprecedented devastation. More than 50,000 people were killed in Turkey alone, according to official figures, and millions displaced. Today, the affected communities are still grappling with the aftermath, hundreds of thousands shelter in containers, tents and other temporary accommodation. And reconstruction is progressing more slowly than promised by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. Our correspondent Julia Hahn takes us along as she returns to Antakya in the southern Turkish province of Hatay - the city hardest-hit by the quakes.
