Ukrainian Presidential adviser Mykhailo Podolyak said on Wednesday that Kyiv had "nothing to do" with a drone attack on the Kremlin — which Russia claims the country did in a failed attempt to kill Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Meanwhile, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Russia is blaming Ukraine for the attack because their nation has no victories.

"It's all really simple, Russia has no victories. He (Russian President Vladimir Putin) cannot further motivate his society, he can't send his soldiers into death that easily anymore, and he cannot motivate his country anymore," Zelenskyy said.

Podolyak said the allegation that Kyiv was behind the attack, and Russia's arrest of alleged Ukrainian saboteurs, could indicate Moscow was preparing for a large-scale "terrorist" attack against Ukraine in coming days.

Multiple news outlets shared video showing the moment a drone exploded above the Kremlin palace in Moscow on Wednesday.
