Russian air defences destroyed a Ukrainian drone over central Moscow in the early hours of Friday morning, officials have said.

The drone smashed into a non-residential building of Moscow's Expo Centre complex after being shot down, causing an explosion. Air traffic was briefly suspended at civilian airports in Moscow after the attack, which Russia blames on Ukraine. No casualties were reported.
